The History of Childwall has been written by a local resident of Childwall who has been fortunate to have come across some very rare pictures of the area, either from their own private collection, past private cine film, or private family pictures.
There are too many names to thank for this publication, but there will have been thanks along the way – but a large ‘thank you’ for those people who have participated in bringing this website to life. It is by no means the complete history of Childwall, nor is the website in its finished state, we wish to add more history and pictures to this website (and put up a new page on maps of Childwall which we are currently researching at this time).
There have been many publications used in the production of this website and we have carefully noted their copyright and gained permission where needed. We have also been given permission from the Record Office for use of some of their contemporary photographs. Our thanks go to them too.
Should you have any pictures of Childwall that you have lying around, no matter how small you may think your story is, it could well be a member of your family standing in front of a lost building. Please do get in contact with us and we will happily add them to the website.
If you wish to contact us, please click on the link to be taken to our portfolio page. From there, we have a direct e-mail address or contact telephone number.
