At first glance, this is a picture of the graveyard in the 1960's. However at the bottom of Score Lane park there are no houses! Also, just over what was the Railway track (now the loop line) is the start of Childwall Heights.

The same view today.

A picture of the Childwall Bowling club taken in 1954. My Grandfather, Albert Wild is the 5th person from the left on the back row.

The 'classic' view of the Church viewed from Childwall Abbey Road. On the 1960's view, we see what is the cobbled area which stood in front of the Stables and where the car is parked at the side of the pub; this is now the pavement. We also see the flagpole at the front of the chuch and notice the lack of road markings. Apart from that, this view has virtually unchanged for many years!
From Left to Right: The Lord Mayor's Coach and Horses outside the Church Hall. The Memorial Stone in front of the Tower.
The mozaic tiles on the Sir Andrew Barclay Walker grave. The side lytchgate and sign.

The Sir Andrew Barclay Walker grave is the resting place of both Sir Andrew Barclay Walker (brewer and Liverpool Councillor) and his son William Walker (1st Baron of Wavertree). More information can be found on them here:
