My name is Jonathon Wild.
I am a local historian and have a vast interest in our local history and local buildings in Liverpool.
I have been born and bred in Childwall for 30 years and have seen parts of the area change so much, but not all for the right reasons.
I went to Childwall C of E school (Salisbury House), have been a member of the Church Choir, and a member of the 35th Boys Brigade, from the Anchor boys to the Company Section.
A keen Church Bell Ringer, I was taught to ring at All Saints, Childwall tower and have held many positions there including Steeple Keeper and Ringing Master, teaching people to ring from the ages of 11+ upwards. All my family have rung there and I can trace back over 40 years ringing at the tower with the immediate family.
I would like to hear from anyone that has fond memories of Childwall, whether they can send pictures, give stories from many years ago or would like to post any item to me via e-mail by clicking on the e-mail logo. I also hope that you will enjoy looking around this site. Maybe it will give you a rare view of the area not seen before, or perhaps it will be an extensive visit of a place which has awakened your childhood memories. Please click on the e-mail logo, the business card logo, or contact me by telephone.
